Last night my boyfriend and I went to Hampstead (north London) to go see To Rome With Love at Everyman Cinema. I had never actually been to Hampstead before (despite it being quite close to where I live), but my God, it is insane. It's basically where all of the celebs and people who have too much money go to live and aim to be seen walking down High Street decked out head to toe in Louis Vuitton. I had prepared myself for what I'd do if I saw Ricky Gervais who is often spotted walking around Hampstead (ridiculously huge fan - probably would've lost my shit), but alas, no sighting. Sad days.

If you haven't already been, Everyman Cinemas are amazing. They are in quite a few locations around London (for more information, go to their website; www.everymancinema.com). They mainly show independent films, but the selling point is that there is a bar at the back of the cinema! So while you are watching the film, you can order tapas, pizza's and a bottle of wine. Bullshit good. And you get to sit on sofa's! What more could you want? To Rome With Love (latest Woody Allen film) was incredible. Please go see it!

We quickly did a sneaky outfit shoot before the movies in a random road off High Street. Enjoy!

Wearing; H&M mint coloured dress, thrifted chain necklace, Ralph Lauren tortoise shell frames, and thrifted black patent shoes.

Another day, another bright outfit.

Okay, so I am starting to notice a trend with my outfits. I think I really like bright colours. In fact, all of my most recent purchases of late have been bright blue's, yellows and red's. *Makes mental note to wear black from now on*.

This dress was a Brighton purchase in a cute little thrift store on the main street while we were en route to the beach. I love random finds like this when you aren't necessarily looking for anything (it's usually  when I find the best stuff). I never really thought I could ever pull off red, so I made a bit of a mission a few months ago to find the perfect red vintage dress. I adore this one, however I am not convinced it is the dress, so the search still continues :(

Wearing: ASOS sunglasses, vintage red dress, Sportsgirl necklace and thrifted pastel pink sandals.

I know that this is a pretty big call for a Tuesday evening, but this is my most favourite dress in the whole entire universe. I found it in the most random thrift store in Adelaide (Australia), while I was running very late for my University class back in 2008. I think I purchased it for about $4, and it's quite possibly the best four bucks I have ever spent. I came to the conclusion that it could be from Japan because the label looks like it's written in Japanese writing (yes, call me Sherlock Holmes).

Whenever I wear it, I feel like a doll, as well as the dress making me feel like I am 5 years old again. Love.

A little ray of sunshine.

I dread those days. You know the ones when you casually check your hotmail (people still use hotmail, right?), and there is an email from ASOS saying "70% off sale". Yeah, them. 'The ASOS addiction', my boyfriend calls it (I wonder if there is an ASOS anonymous? I would seriously consider going). When I still lived in Australia, there was the horrible anticipation of having to wait up to 2 weeks for my purchases to get delivered. However now that I live in the UK, they basically turn up at my door step 48 hours later, which makes it all that more tempting (it kills me and my poor bank account). The other day at work, on completely separate occasions throughout the day, three ASOS packages turned up for me. HaTeRz GoNnA HaTe. ASOS for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Yep.

I bought this bright yellow dress off ASOS in one of their many ridiculously cheap sales about two months ago with quite a bit of hesitation. I actually thought to myself, "you will never wear it", but I had previously made a promise to myself to try and wear colours that I usually wouldn't. Y'know, push the boundaries. Well, that I did. I usually wear this dress with a cute pair of boots or, even black sandals. To be fair, it has been a bit of a bitch trying to match any kind of accessory with it, but I then reached a conclusion that this dress is a statement of it's own and needs minimal additions to complement it.

Wearing: black ribbon (I think I drunkenly stole it off a Christmas present one year and thought to myself "I could do something with this" - I certainly did), yellow ASOS dress, TopShop pastel Green nail polish, and Wittner black canyon leather boots (www.wittner.com.au).

Not sure what I am doing here, probably some kind of rendition of Single Ladies.

Borough Markets

Mother of God, yesterday was hot. Still no tan to report, but I guess I have today to work on it :(

Yesterday a group of us went to the Borough Market next to London Bridge for lunch. The food is AMAZING. I seem to always get there when they are closing up, but I arrived just after 1pm to check everything out. Oh my gherddd, I was in cheese heaven. There were stalls and stalls of every kind of cheese you could imagine.

After we were satisfied with our carb overload and had tried all of the free tasters (best part of it, I reckon), we walked from London Bridge to the London Eye along Southbank and made our way to the Jubilee Gardens to meet friends for a picnic. We cranked some ciders and sat there until it got dark. I LOVE THAT PARK.

Outfit post will be up later!

Susie and her adorbz outfit.

Me along Southbank! Wearing a thrifted multi-coloured shirt, ASOS navy skirt, ASOS sunglasses, Primark backpack, and Primark black sandals.

London Fashion Week 2012

I had never actually been to a Fashion Night Out before. I don't remember it being that big in Melbourne last year, however London's Fashion Night Out was INSANE. So. Much. Fun. I went to Oxford Street after work on Thursday with my friend Fiona, and headed straight to Bond Street to check out the street party. We went in to most of the stores (Burberry was actually like a night club) and had a few too many champagnes and cocktails. I felt like I was bar hopping, the only difference was I was surrounded by Luis Vuitton and Dior.

It was hard to check out the collections from store to store because there were so many people around, but Winter fashion is looking pretty damn good. Excited beyond words.

Street party!

Drinking champagne in Burberry.

Louis Vuitton models.

Drinking a cocktail on the Louis Vuitton staircase - HEAVEN.

Alexa fucking Chung.

Because I love her.

Friday 7 September 2012

It's Fraaaday.

Friday's would have to be my most favourite day of the week (of course). The whole day at work is filled with a ridiculous amount of anticipation for the weekend (and well, for beer o'clock), and it makes it ten times better when the weather is going to be uh-mazing.

Tonight my boyfriend and I went for a walk around my suburb (I live 20 minutes outside of central London), and we found an old Soccer oval surrounded by huge trees. The sun was setting, so I thought it would be a perfect time to do a sneaky outfit post.

Wearing: Vintage white silk kimono purchased from Smith Street in Melbourne, thrifted peach coloured tie up shirt, thrifted multi coloured midi skirt from Brixton village, red socks from Primark, and TopShop shoes.
